Week 65

MOM!!!
This week was really good!! First off, L's baptism was AWESOME!! She had shingles we couldn't bend her backwards so both me and Elder Langston got to get in the font with her and sit her down on a chair and bend her forward! Well like 15 min before the baptism we realized that we were going to have to use one of those small primary chairs rather then the bigger chairs because the water couldn't go that high. So I had to carefully climb on the railing and use my foot to drag out the other chair and put the small one in so I didn't get wet before the service started! We also had to put duck tape over the overflow drain so it would go higher so it would be an easy bend for her. Needless to say she's has been baptized! It was such a spiritual experience in the font with her and Elder Langston. And then her super less active daughter was holding her oxygen outside the font on the steps and you could tell the spirit was hitting her too. We also had stake conference this week and it was great! We had a good amount of investigators come and even though it was two hours of sitting they enjoyed it and felt the spirit. Our investigator J should be getting a wedding ring soon and should be ready for his baptismal date in November! Things are going really well overall which is exciting!

So that's a bummer Tanner and Brandon lost but I'm super super happy they both had good seasons and played well!! They're such Studs! I miss going to all those games with you guys!! How did Stevo’s tourney in California go?? Do we have any fun trips planned for the summer I get back?! I'm definitely not counting the days but I am excited to get out of this same old Florida hot humid weather! Haha This eternal summer is starting to get boring! Haha I want some snow!

Well I love and miss you Mom!! We got our mail key so send packages all you want 😘😘 Haha I hope you have a great week!!

Week 64

So this week as great! Our investigator L is beyond excited to get baptized on Tuesday!! It's kind of a funny story of how she was found. Back when I was serving in Kissimmee I was on exchanges with one of the Elders and we decided to stop by some Less Actives we didn't know.  Well this one Less Active had a care taker who was also a member! She lived down here in Hunter's Creek. She worked every Sunday and hadn't been to church in years. She gave us her address and phone number tho and said we could give it to the missionaries In her area. Well L is this Ladies mom who also lives with her and she was soooo receptive to the gospel! It's fun to be able to come back and reap the seeds of some work I was able to do up in Kissimmee a couple of months ago while serving in a different area!! We brought Sister Berry to a lesson with her and they instantly clicked and meshed sooo well!
Everyone in the Ward is excited for the baptism! We also visited one of our investigators who had been taught for a while. I actually taught him like 4 months ago while on exchanges here with Elder Call so it was also fun to be able to teach him again! He for 13 years has been extremely afraid of getting married for multiple different reasons. Well we had an awesome lesson on faith and trusting in Heavenly Father that he won't let you down if you keep his commandments. Well when we came back for our next visit two days later he was just glowing!! I instantly knew he had talked to his Girlfriend about marriage! He said he was going to go buy a ring and propose in the next couple weeks!! We were sooo excited!! We see miracles like this on the daily! My faith just continues to grow each day!! I know Heavenly Father is the one granting us all these blessings and I'm so thankful for the work we get to do here with all these amazing people!

Well I love you mom!! I hope you have a great day!! Thank you for all you do for me!!

Week 63

Hey Mom

So this week was a BUSY BUSY BUSY week!! Even with all the meetings though we were able to find some really cool new people! One of the recent converts here named S finally introduced us to his parents and we're teaching them now which was a really cool and spiritual lesson. They've seen the influence in his life and you could tell they they're ready to see what we're all about. We also met this lady who lives right next to them who was picking up some garbage that was in her yard so we just went and helped her pick it up. We quickly referred to the restoration and you could tell it caught her attention. She asked us if we would start coming over and teaching her more and of course we said "yes" and we're gonna see her again on Wednesday! Her husband just left her after 20 years and you could tell that she was just looking for some sort of peace and happiness. We're excited to teach her and help her get that peace and comfort she's looking for! I'll keep you updated on how she progresses! The members here are all pretty cool! We had a fun testimony meeting yesterday... By 9:50 there had only been 1 testimony given...it was a Don Ashworth kind of story but it was good They just announced that the stake is going to dissolve the Spanish groups and just do a Spanish branch so that's been a buzz lately. Lots of the members are bummed because the stake has worked so hard to help mesh the Spanish and non Spanish together and now they're just going to separate again. It'll all work out though. If they have a true testimony of the Stake presidency and in the Lord then everything will work out the way it needs to.

I loved your spiritual thought! I am so glad that you guys raised me in this gospel as well. It's blessed my life more then I could even imagine!! I've came to know my savior so much better these past months and have come to gain a lot more patience and love for everyone I meet! It's been truly amazing.
Being with President and Sister Berry and their family yesterday was a really fun experience. One that most missionaries don't get to have so I'm soooo grateful for this chance I have to serve and be around them more! She's such a sweet lady!! Even tho she's a ute Haha

I hope you guys have a great week!! We don't go to the same chapel as Valera but we're In the same stake so we'll get to see her more!! I miss her a lot. Thank you for all you do for me mom!! I appreciate it sooooo much!! You're the best!! I love you to the moon and back!

Week 62

Mom-

This week I was studying in Ether about the Brother of Jared and his journey to the American continent because of the wickedness of the people. All of chapter 1 Mohonri Moriancumer is conversing and pleading with the Lord that he will lead his people to safety and preserve the language they spoke which was the Adamic language. That's the language Adam and Eve spoke and it was so pure and powerful that he didn't want it to be lost because of the wickedness of the people who were building the Tower of Babel. It might not seem like a huge deal but to him it was. Well In the last verse the Lord says "43 And there will I bless thee and thy seed, and raise up unto me of thy seed, and of the seed of thy brother, and they who shall go with thee, a great nation. And there shall be none greater than the nation which I will raise up unto me of thy seed, upon all the face of the earth. And thus I will do unto thee because this long time ye have cried unto me" Many times we'll pray so so so hard for small and simple things or even big things but after a week of not receiving an answer give up in asking for that thing because of our lack of faith. With the Brother of Jared though the Lord told him that his posterity would be safe and blessed and his language would be safe "because this long time he have cried unto me" After reading this it dawned on me that I have too often given up to quick in asking my Heavenly Father for things. If we all just continue with faith we will receive answers. Matthew 7:7 ¶Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" This week we saw a lot of miracles! Obviously conference was AMAZING!!! I love watching conference and receiving inspiration for my life and the lives of our investigators. As always, I felt like many of the talks were meant just for ME! I felt like they talked a ton about the atonement and trusting in our faith and our leaders. In these last days it will be those who can and will follow the counsel of their leaders that will be safe. I'm excited to apply the things I learned! I definitely would also say that Elder Hollands and Elder Bednars talks were my favorite!! I couldn't stop thinking of you during Hollands talk!! We were driving up to our investigators wedding with the Bishop when we were listening to it and it was tough to hold back the tears. I love you so much mom️ Being on my mission has helped me realize how huge of an influence you and dad have been in my life. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for you guys️ I love you!

So it made me super happy to see Erin at the BYU game with you and even happier to see Tanner braiding her hair

So that's awesome that you got to meet Brother Larsen!! He's such a cool guy! I asked myself those same questions when I met his wife! She'll come around sooner or later! That makes me super happy to her Steven’s knee is going to be healed and ready for the season!! Send me some videos of him playing!! I wanna see how he's improved since I left!!

It's crazy how fast times flying!! I love my mission soooo much!! This has been the best growing and learning experience I could have had at this point in my life. I know that it's preparing me for lots of different things to come! Thank you for helping me and supporting me so much!
How's your photography going mom?️ What else new is going on? What are you going to do to help dad stay happy and busy this winter? Haha I can't believe that I'll be home after this next winter!!
I love you mom
