Week 29

Dear Dad,

This week has been great!! So two weeks ago one of the members brought her friend to FHE. While playing soccer I got to know her friend and 'Highly Encouraged' her to come to church that Sunday :) Well she did and now shes an investigator and she should be getting baptized in TWO WEEKS!!! Its been so awesome to see her progress so well and so quick! Heavenly Father put her in our hands just at the right moment of her life! We are meeting with her 3 times this week and one of them we are going on a Temple Tour which should be a really spiritual experience! :) Im so so so happy for her.

Getting college kids to come to church is a struggle we're having right now. They'll come one week and then wont the next. I try so hard to bare testimony of how much this can bless them and how important this is but they dont fully understand... Its kinda sad... But it just motivates me to work harder. We're teaching a lot still which is great. One thing that has helped me so much out here on the mission is staying busy and teaching a lot. Heavenly Father is blessing us with a lot of opportunities to teach which i am so grateful for. Last night we stopped by this in-active member and shared a good message with him about how sometimes in life there is no where else to turn but to God. We bore strong testimony to him that Him getting back active now would change his life for forever. He said he would come to FHE tonightand start coming back!! It was awesome! He accepted the commitment like it was nothing:) Lets hope he is a man of his word.

So one of the funniest experiences of my mission happened last week. So we were walking around this apartment complex trying to find one of our investigators doors. We usually teach him on campus so we didnt know exactly where he lived, just the complex. Well while talking to this girl he showed up and ended up living right next door. We walked in and sat down and i noticed that they had a Barber chair in their front room. I asked if one of them cut hair and and this one new guy who had just moved in said "Ya i cut hair like nobodys buisness" He offered to cut my hair but i said no like 5 times till i finally gave in. I said "I want a TINY trim. Just a little off the sides and barley any off the top" he said "Ya ya i got you bro, I got you!" Well 10 minutes later he turns me around to the mirror and he had COMPLETELY SHAVED MY HEAD!!!! I was like "What the crap happened?? I said i wanted a trim!!" and he said "Ya, that is a trim! You didnt tell me how much you wanted trimmed!" Hahaha I guess not everyone knows what a TRIM means! Well while i was washing off in their bathroom he was cutting Elder Donnellys hair. (I told him not to let him cut his hair but he said that all he wanted was a buzz and that he couldnt mess up a buzz) He told Elder Donnelly and our investigator a story of how he killed some dude in tampa a couple years ago.... He said it was completley self deffence but we're not sure.... hahah jk if it wasnt then he would be in jail but it was still crazzy!! We invited him to play basketball with us though :)

Life is just so good right now. The work is progressing and so his my testimony. I am learning so many things out here and one of them is patience. I feel like I am way more patient now cuz i have to deal with flaky college kids. Thank you for the paddles! I havent recieved your letter yet though. The address you used worked. It sent it right to me. If you send it to 3303 Arden Villas Blvd Orlando Fl 32817-2154 #15 it should work too. Hope you guys have a great week! Thats so awesome that you're getting into Genealogy. I want to get into it more when I get back. I love you so much
